Lightning Pro-Power Nitrous Solenoids (.123 Orifice) are designed for serious nitrous horsepower.
This solenoid features a .123 orifice, supports up to 500 horsepower, draws 22 amps, and has a maximum opening pressure of 1200 PSI. It includes 1/8" NPT entry and exit ports along with an integrated draw-through 1/8" NPT purge port.
The key to maximizing horsepower is keeping the nitrous in liquid form until it enters the engine. When nitrous encounters sharp turns or expansion areas, it becomes turbulent, causing it to boil and form gaseous bubbles. Liquid nitrous makes more power than gaseous nitrous, period.
NX Lightning solenoids are engineered with a raised entry and bottom exit design that eliminates multiple internal 90° turns and expansion areas found in conventional solenoids. The smoother flow path helps maintain a dense liquid nitrous charge, delivering cleaner horsepower and more consistent performance.
Each solenoid is CNC-machined from lightweight billet aluminum and topped with a carbon fiber coil cover for reduced weight and durability. The integrated purge port allows the purge valve to connect directly to the solenoid body, eliminating trapped air and ensuring repeatable solenoid reaction time.
Nitrous Express Lightning Series solenoids are made in the USA and come standard on many NX systems or can be used as an upgrade for existing setups.
